How can we help?

We offer a personalized legal opinion that you can use to bring to the border. This  document and also includes instructions on the documents you have to bring to the border. As an add-on, you may also add a strategy session to ask any questions and to help you prepare for the interview.

Legal Fees

The cost of the legal opinion is $497 USD. The cost of the optional strategy session is $200 USD.

The process looks like this:

1. We send you a proposal which contains a client agreement and invoice.
2. Once client agreement is signed and invoice paid, we will send you an intake questionnaire and secure upload link.
3. We review your intake questionnaire and documents. If you are eligible, we draft a legal opinion that you can bring to the border, along with detailed instructions of the supporting documents you will need. Then, if you would like additional support to prepare for the interview or if you have any questions, you may add a strategy session for an additional $200. If you are NOT eligible, we would provide you with an opinion as to why you are not eligible and steps on how/ when you would become eligible. Or, if not eligible for deemed rehabilitation, an explanation of the type of application that would be necessary to overcome criminal inadmissibility.
  • "Knowledgeable and Empathetic" - Sam B.

I'm a Canadian citizen living in the UK, applying for a family class PR for my British husband. We had a strategy session with Christina and Emilia to check we understood the process, ask questions about the application, and use their experience to find out what we should look out for. They were so knowledgeable and empathetic in answering all of our questions, bringing our attention to parts of the move we hadn't thought of, and giving us confidence that our family was going to be able to achieve our goals. Christina was thorough and methodical, ensuring we understood the information and what that meant for our plans, and brought up many aspects we weren't aware of. It was worth every cent and we're so glad we took the time to get their expertise!

  • "The whole process was smooth" - Loredana F.

My husband and I had such a great experience with Sisu Legal in obtaining my green card! Emilia helped us every step of the way and answered every question we had with much knowledge and expertise. It can be such a daunting experience to do immigration paperwork, you don’t want to mess up on anything especially in my case in obtaining my immigration visa to the U.S. Any error could backtrack your application and make you have to wait so much longer. The whole process was smooth for us because Emilia knew all the ins and outs of the immigration system, she’s seen every scenario so her experience in the field alone is so helpful. Highly recommend for anyone needing an immigration lawyer! And she’s very familiar with Canadian AND American immigration law which is a bonus!
