This Service Will:

Guide you through the process, including checklists, a client portal, and a kanban-style visual board that lets you track where things stand at every stage.

Ensure you understand everything and that all your questions are answered quickly.

Support you with any difficulties encountered along the way.

When you unwrap the way this service works, here is an overview of what you will get...

An Eligibility Assessment

Before anything else, we confirm that you are ready to apply. We review your physical presence calculation, your tax compliance history, your language evidence, and any other factors that could affect your application. You will know exactly where you stand before you submit a single page.

A Strategic Plan

This service includes an initial meeting with a lawyer to discuss your history in Canada, your travel record, your concerns, and to answer every question you have. We will go over the timeline for when you are best positioned to submit and guide you through the entire process. Never worry about googling your questions and getting misleading answers ever again.

An Execution Strategy

A plan is nothing without execution. You will receive a customized document checklist tailored to your specific situation so you know exactly what to gather. We will make document collection as painless as possible with a customized upload link and a secured shared folder you can add to at any time that is most convenient for you.

Attention to Detail: Always

When it comes to forms, we have checks and balances in place throughout the process to make sure nothing gets missed. You will complete a few simple questionnaires, and we will do all the heavy lifting behind the scenes. We have systems, processes, and technology in place to minimize the chance of errors, including a careful review of your physical presence calculation before anything is submitted.

Support: Reach Out Anytime You Get Stuck

Schedule a call or email us with your questions at any time, at no extra charge. You can always expect a response within one business day. The goal is to anticipate as many of your questions as possible so you always have a clear picture of what comes next.

A Snapshot of our Process

Step 1

Schedule a Strategy Session. This will allow us to get to know each other, review your eligibility and physical presence calculation, and figure out if we are a good fit. If you decide to move forward within 7 days of your consultation, the consultation becomes free.

Step 2

After you agree that we are a good fit, it is time to come up with a tailored plan and execute it. We will go over the specific documents required for your case, verify your physical presence days, review your tax and language evidence, and give you a customized checklist to start gathering documents.

Step 3

Now that we are almost there, we will put your entire application through an error-proofing review system and discuss how it can be made even stronger. No cutting corners here.

Please note, to keep up with our high service standards, there are limited spots available each month.

Are you ready? Let’s talk.

How to know if you are a perfect match for Sisu Legal’s Citizenship Application Service

You would rather invest money than time.

You want someone to verify your physical presence calculation so there are no surprises.

You want someone else to handle the attention to detail, precision, and organization.

You understand that time is a non-renewable resource. You do not have time to do it all yourself.

You are tired of trying to figure it out on your own.

You do not want to risk having your application returned and would prefer guidance every step of the way.

Above all else, you want the peace of mind that comes from knowing you submitted your best possible application.

FAQs

Here is what others have asked before working with us:

Do I qualify to apply for Canadian citizenship?

To apply for citizenship as an adult, you must be a permanent resident, have been physically present in Canada for at least 1,095 days in the five years immediately before your application date, have filed Canadian taxes for at least three years during that five-year period, meet the language requirements in English or French, and pass the Canadian citizenship test. There are additional requirements if you have a criminal record or a record of certain immigration violations. A strategy session is the best way to confirm you are ready to apply.

How do I calculate my physical presence days?

You count every day you were physically inside Canada during the five-year period before your application date. Days spent outside Canada do not count. As a permanent resident, you cannot count any days before you received your permanent residence. The calculation sounds simple, but travel records over five years can be complex, and a miscalculation is one of the most common reasons applications are returned. We verify your count before anything is submitted.

What documents do I need?

Generally, you will need your permanent resident card, travel documents showing your entry and exit history, tax filing records, language evidence (such as proof of education in English or French, or a language test result), and your identity documents. The specific requirements depend on your situation. We will give you a customized checklist based on your exact circumstances.

What is the citizenship test and how do I prepare for it?

After IRCC receives your application, you will typically be scheduled to write the citizenship test (for applicants between 18 and 54 years of age). The test covers Canadian history, values, institutions, and symbols and is based on the official IRCC study guide, Discover Canada. We will make sure you know what to expect and feel prepared.

How long does IRCC take to process a citizenship application?

Processing times have varied significantly in recent years and can range from several months to well over a year. We will give you realistic expectations based on current IRCC timelines and keep you informed at every stage.

Can you help if my citizenship application was already returned or refused?

Sometimes, yes. It depends on the specific issue and the state of your file. Our full-service clients take priority and our schedule does not always allow us to take on file-rescue cases. You are welcome to reach out, and we will give you more details about whether we can assist.

Do you offer refunds?

We do not offer refunds, but you are not obligated to continue working with us. If you are not satisfied with our services, you can cancel your program at any time and will only be charged based on actual work completed on your file.

I am not ready yet but want to learn more. How do I get in touch?

You can email us at hello@sisulegal.com or schedule a strategy session to speak directly with one of our lawyers.
