If you represent yourself in court, we can help you become an effective self-advocate. You manage your case but you have someone to call when you get stuck. Legal coaching is a cost-effective alternative to full legal representation.

We are able to help with matters in the following areas:

  • Immigration Law
  • Small Claims Court of Ontario
  • Tax Court of Canada (Informal Procedure)
  • Landlord and Tenant Board

We provide unbundled legal services to help with a wide range of procedural and substantive law issues. For example:

  • Legal Research
  • Procedural Coaching
  • Drafting or Reviewing Documents (forms, pleadings, legal letters, etc.)
  • Development of Strategy
  • Negotiation Coaching
  • Evaluation of Settlement Proposals
  • Hearing Preparation
  • Substantive Legal Advice

Some of the questions we can help you answer include:

  • Where do I start?
  • Do I have to respond?
  • What kind of offer should I make?
  • How do I get a date in court?
  • How do I file things with the court?
  • How do I prepare for a Settlement Conference?
  • How do I prepare for a hearing?

Unless you prefer otherwise, we are happy to provide flat-fee legal services. Fixed prices will help you manage risk and reduce the stress that can result from not knowing how much your case will cost. We will work with you to determine the scope of representation and provide you with value pricing.

Value pricing allows us to focus on the overall mission and results.

  • "Knowledgeable and Empathetic" - Sam B.

I'm a Canadian citizen living in the UK, applying for a family class PR for my British husband. We had a strategy session with Christina and Emilia to check we understood the process, ask questions about the application, and use their experience to find out what we should look out for. They were so knowledgeable and empathetic in answering all of our questions, bringing our attention to parts of the move we hadn't thought of, and giving us confidence that our family was going to be able to achieve our goals. Christina was thorough and methodical, ensuring we understood the information and what that meant for our plans, and brought up many aspects we weren't aware of. It was worth every cent and we're so glad we took the time to get their expertise!

  • "The whole process was smooth" - Loredana F.

My husband and I had such a great experience with Sisu Legal in obtaining my green card! Emilia helped us every step of the way and answered every question we had with much knowledge and expertise. It can be such a daunting experience to do immigration paperwork, you don’t want to mess up on anything especially in my case in obtaining my immigration visa to the U.S. Any error could backtrack your application and make you have to wait so much longer. The whole process was smooth for us because Emilia knew all the ins and outs of the immigration system, she’s seen every scenario so her experience in the field alone is so helpful. Highly recommend for anyone needing an immigration lawyer! And she’s very familiar with Canadian AND American immigration law which is a bonus!
